In Latham Street a few years ago a charming lady opened a second-hand bookstore. In New Zealand new books are expensive when compared with the UK. The Book Store is in two parts: one for novels and fiction and one for everything from cookery books to serious old New Zealandia. It is a wonderful place to be. It is a place with very reasonable prices. It also has an amusing facade.
