India of Inchinnan

The morning after I stopped the night in Glasgow with John and Sue we went to the splendidly restored India of Inchinnan Grade A Listed Building for coffee. If you are ever in the area it really is worth calling in for coffee or lunch.

  1. It looks very posh! No good for me when I have just walked the dog and am covered in mud or worse! What an odd name. Where does it come from?

  2. India Tyres commissioned the Art Deco office block in 1930, strategically located in front of the mill building for optimum visibility from the busy Edinburgh to Greenock through road. The building was used for its intended purpose for half a century before its closure.
