I received and email from Spesh this morning. Not that that's unusual. Spesh also sent some photos from home. Whilst most of the UK seems to be having snow and real winter weather the morning on Lewis was brilliant sun although there was a very brisk Lewis breeze whipping up the waves!

gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI thought that you'd appreciate Briagha, Fiona.
DeleteThose are lovely photos with picture perfect weather on the Isle of Lewis.
ReplyDeleteMost of my UK friends are snowed in and not liking it one bit.
Briagha looks pooped...please do not disturb.
Virginia, when Briagha is all pooped out she stays put!
DeleteGreat shots....I really must make the effort and get across the Minch.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will appreciate it Adrian. If nothing else there is plenty of space and not too many people.
Deleteits a fab day in Lewis, even though the windy weather causing ferry disruptions and the usual rush at the supermarket. Got lots washing dry. Just finished the Chess Men, Great end to the trilogy.
ReplyDeleteI haven't started the second one yet Carol.
DeleteGorgeous photos of the Braighe!
ReplyDeleteI never tire of the sea in all its moods Lisa.
DeleteBriagha looks like I felt today after just 20 minutes walk or so in very cold weather (-11)...
ReplyDeleteI think these photos inspire me to maybe pick up The Chess Men next.
-11! That's chilly Monica. I know that walking in the bitter cold, particularly, if it is windy, is exceptionally draining.
DeleteI love dogs -- they really know how to relax! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes, Carol, unlike humans they have no hang-ups about it.
DeleteI wonder if Briagha gives lessons on relaxing. :D
ReplyDeleteI never tire of water images.
There was sunshine today, but such cold wind that I stayed in till time for Mass. brr
With all the dog lessons in the world, Norma, we could never compete with their ability to unwind.
DeleteI thought meteorology was supposed to be a science. What snow? We've had dire weather warnings all week, now extending to Wednesday. We haven't had enough to make even a small snowball. Just because it has snowed at 23 Railway Cuttings, East Cheam, doesn't mean it has everywhere else. Having said that, my seaweed says we're in for strong easterly winds tonight and tomorrow with the possibility of some damage near the east coast.
ReplyDeleteGosh Marcel I never really had you for a Hancock fan! Did you survive the blow?
DeleteBoy, and how right the seaweed was !
DeleteMust get there next year. (Change of plans Geeb - it's all on for 2014 now)
ReplyDeleteSo glad. I'm sure you'll absolutely love it Katherine.
DeleteIt looks wonderful, particularly the 2nd picture.
ReplyDeleteWhen it's in that mood it is wonderful Meike.
