On the drive home yesterday as we were on the outskirts of Napier I looked up and there in the sky (where else would you find it?) was what I think is a waning gibbous moon. The photo was taken in daylight, in a car, through the windscreen/windshield at 100 kph. I wasn't displeased.

Oh, wow...you should be pleased. What a great shot with the blue sky as such. Very nice, Graham.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard that expression before. Don't think we even have a name for that phase of the moon in Swedish. Great shot though! I still can't get a good moon shot with my camera.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Doesn't look like it was taken through the windshield at all.
ReplyDeleteI know you like to click away as you zoom along, but I didn't know you did it whilst driving, too. Surely that would equate to talking on a cell phone while driving?? Great shot, though.
ReplyDeleteGosh no Pauline. I wasn't driving. I had enough problems taking the photo from the passenger seat. Colleen, one of the 'croquet gang' was driving and we were in her car.
DeleteThanks all. It's always quite rewarding when a shot like that comes off. Scriptor/CJ does it all the time and comes up with some gems for his efforts.
ReplyDeleteThats interesting, we are at a full moon tonight.
ReplyDeleteOne day I will work out time zones, and north south hemisphere stuff with the planets.
Very nice GB x
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot. Wow!
ReplyDeleteFab picture! By the way, your posts aren't coming up in my feed. Can you still get the threaded comments from my blog? I have to confess I changed back to the old dashboard, I find the other one really horrid although when I have time to settle down and get used to it I am sure it will be okay.
ReplyDeleteSo why aren't I seeing your latest posts....?
Yes thanks Jenny, I've just looked and can now get the threaded comments on your blog. I'm not sure why my posts are not showing up. Blogland is a strange and curious place making anything Lewis Carroll writes about look quite normal.
