Jiminy Cricket

Actually it was a very noisy Cicada in a tree next next to the holiday house and adjacent to the balcony on which I was admiring the sunrise.

    Wow! I'm surprised that you were able to get close to him. Too many cicadas buzzing all at once can make me feel like I could lose my mind. I prefer Jiminy Cricket!

    Yes, Heather, they can fly pretty well but sometimes lack a sense of direction at night 'cos one smacked me on the face a couple of days ago.

    Lisa: I could see it in the tree and used my lens at full focal length. Modern crossover lenses never cease to amaze me.

    I've never noticed the green tinge on a cicada before! I should stop listening to the noise and look closer!
