My Phone's Male

My N Z Telecom mobile phone is male. How do I know? When it's being charged it can't carry out other functions (I was trying to delete some text messages, that's how I know).

    Without wishing to appear crude - aren't all the connections on it female? i.e. the charger plug is male and the charger input on the phone is female in electrical terms. Perhaps it's a hermaphrodite.
