After our early tour of Woolloomooloo and it's harbour, naval base and very expensive apartments we set off for the Domain, Royal Botanic Gardens and the Sydney Opera House and a closer view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
| A dull start to the afternoon with the Opera House and Bridge seen from the Domain on the other side of the harbour |
| The CBD as seen from the Domain with the Royal Botanic Gardens in the foreground |
| Government House (which vaguely reminded me of the Lews Castle) which the notices said was open to the public but all entry was prohibited (Someone suggested that it was to do with an impending visit in April by one of the Princes. Must need a lot of preparation if that's the case!) |
| Government House from the gardens: again entry prohibited |
| The smallest and closest of the 'sails' to the Royal Botanic Gardens. It hides the others behind it from this viewpoint. |
| Then you realise that the right-most 'sail' (the one in the picture
above this one) is tiny in comparison with the ones behind it |
