Being a Tourist in Sydney: Day 2 (Part 3)

Fiona's idea was that we would see the sunset from the Manly Ferry.  From a gloomy start the day had cleared up and we set sail on the ferry to Manly from the central wharf in downtown Sydney (see the map on my first post).

Being a Tourist in Sydney: Day 2 (Part 2)

After our early tour of Woolloomooloo and it's harbour, naval base and very expensive apartments we set off for the Domain, Royal Botanic Gardens and the Sydney Opera House and a closer view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Government House (which vaguely reminded me of the Lews Castle) which the notices said was open to the public but all entry was prohibited (Someone suggested that it was to do with an impending visit in April by one of the Princes.  Must need a lot of preparation if that's the case!)

The smallest and closest of the 'sails' to the Royal Botanic Gardens.  It hides the others behind it from this viewpoint.

Then you realise that the right-most 'sail' (the one in the picture above this one) is tiny in comparison with the ones behind it
