She is one of the loves of my life - not that you would guess!! At this very moment, she is stretched out across the rug in front of the fire and fast asleep. Well it is winter!, Thank you Graham x
Oh dear, just noticed - my google is doing a "funny" still. I type a reply, go to publish, click and it goes through David's gmail. What?! This is crazy. I need you back here to sort it for me Graham! HELP!!!! Mystified Pat x
Great photo of Briagha! Pat told me how to pronounce that name, but I can't remember it! I wonder if Sting might come across this on the internet and be amused by this dog's face with his song! It could happen! :-)
To be honest Kay I made a note of this idea several years ago when I saw it on Facebook and every so often it surfaces again. I just used a photo I had of Briagha.
The thing is, my brother usually eats a lot faster than me (I supsect he takes after the dog!) and then when his plate is empty, Harry (cairn terrier) moves round to my side of the table and makes me feel like it's I who am responsible for him (judging by his expression) slowly starving to death...

Briagha is a cutie. Brownie agrees wholeheartedly....it's a dog thing apparently. Yesterday I baked a chocolate cake but the poor guy couldn't have any....he did watch me throughout the entire process though.
We may be apart but when I look at the sky and remember that we are standing on the same earth, looking at the same moon, somehow you don't seem so far away after all.
Life
Life isn't about dawdling to the grave, arriving safely in an attractive, wrinkle-free body but rather an adventure that ends skidding in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, totally worn out, screaming "Yee-ha. What a ride!!"
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain. (With thanks to shabby girl of A Travelling Fish )

Like a Godwit I migrate. I live in New Zealand during the Southern Hemisphere's Summer and I live in Scotland's Outer Hebrides in the Northern Hemisphere's Summer (See Eagleton Notes). In both places I also live in Blogland which, for me, is as real a life as any other.

DeleteMy brother's dog does that, too... Well I guess most dogs do! :)
ReplyDeleteI think though, Monica, Labradors and Retrievers are the worst of all. They will eat absolutely anything whether it is edible or not.
