To The Forest

I went to a 40th Birthday Party at a lodge up in the wilds of the Tangihua Forest in Northland.  It was an idea place for a party: beautiful and isolated.  Before it got going we went for a walk in the forest of native species and I managed to photograph a couple of Silvereyes and a Fantail.

  1. You sleep less than I do.
Not the best bird pictures but you put mine to shame.

  2. I think last night was a return to my old habits: to bed at 0145 and up this morning at 0645. I need more these days!

Thanks for the compliment but my photos are never going to be putting yours to shame that's for certain and I certainly don't have your entertaining way with words either (though I'm trying on both accounts!).

  3. NZ has such pretty birds. Whatever _eye bird it is, it looks so soft!

  4. One thing I enjoy about your blogs is the photography, a sneak peek into your world, on either sides of the world. Very cool :-)

  5. You did well getting those shots. They are both such flitty little birds!
