Ruakaka


Bliss is a long walk on a beach.

  3. How timely.... on Saturday we scattered Arch;s ashes here in the waves at a peaceful local beach. There are a few pictures of it on my profile page.... it felt "right" to do it there - npt because he had a particular association with that beach, but because it reminded us so much of the beach at Ruakaka - where every year we stayed there in a friend's caravan, under the pines, on the estuary, near the surf beach. It was our place to take the kids out for the day - we fished, windsailed, rowed, sailed, surfed, boogieboarded, floundered, collected shellfish, explored mangroves, and had two blissful summer weeks there for many years.
    Seeing your photo just takes me back there GB - and reinforces the memories - and the certainty we did the right thing here.
