Sometimes late at night I like the idea of going to bed and sitting with a book or, more realistically, Samantha, on my knee and reading or writing. In practice it rarely works because I have never been one for reading in bed and I tend to put my head on the pillow and fall asleep within a minute of doing that. Just occasionally I remain awake long enough to do something for a few minutes, such as take a photo of what I see when I sit up in bed at night.

Remarkably clean surfaces to rest your eyes upon! I suppose the book, the computer and the camera are IN the bed... My bedroom is so small that when I'm in the bed myself, all the other stuff (like extra blankets and pillows and books and whatever) leave no clean surfaces; which does not make it tempting to take pictures from that position!

Remarkably clean, indeed. I'd have to get up, tidy up, probably do a bit of dusting as well before taking any photos in my bedroom!
