    1. Thanks Virginia. No reason at the moment (I don't want to tempts the Fates) why I shouldn't.

  5. I didn't know that you ride, Graham!
Looks very appealing, to ride along such a beautiful beach on what looks like it was a perfect day, weather-wise.

    1. I haven't ridden since I was in my early 20s Meike. I had a riding accident and, apart from getting back in the saddle for a couple of rides after I was able to, have not ridden since.

  6. Heaven ! Go for it. Add it to the list of mid-life crisis targets. More realistic than most men's. Do women have mid-life crises? If so, what form do they take?

    1. Marcel it's on the list. You pose a question that men far braver than I have attempted to comment upon. Some of them are still alive.

  7. Oh - I would soooo love to be one of them! I rode my (then) horse into the sea once, together with some others, and they absolutely loved splashing about in it (but didn't rate the taste of the water!).

    1. Yes, Frances, I thought of your injuries and returns for more and wondered why I have never really gone back to riding after my accident. I liked to think that sense prevailed whereas really I am just a coward at heart.

  8. I like that last photo. I've never ridden a horse in my life though. I did have a period of reading girlish books about horses when I was around 11 but that's as far as it ever went... Have to confess I still feel no real longing to. As for mid-life crises, I suspect there are as many varieties of them as there are individuals... If blogging is a symptom, I've got it!

  9. I've seen that many cows, but never that many horses on a beach! It's something I'd love to see - you can do the riding if you wish.
