  1. What a tidy bird...a very neatly wrapped meal.

    1. Yes Adrian. I just wish that the ranch sliders had been open: this is shot through double glazing from indoors on a dull, wet day so whilst I'm happy with the subject I'm less happy with the quality.

  2. Oh no. I'm not sure that even with a camera in my hand I could have watched this up close... You should have had a warning for [squeamish] (I don't know how to do strikethrough in a comment) sensitive readers at the top of this one! I was expecting something completely different from the title... LOL

    1. PS. The look on that bird's face in the third picture is priceless, though...

    2. I think if I were a Blackbird, Monica, I'd have been pretty smug about a meal like that.

    3. I can't get the comments to accept the HTML for (s) or strike.
It needs Mark to write some Tampermonkey malarkey.

  3. How deftly he folded and secured his meal...very impressive. He has reason to look smug don't you think?

  4. So you have those Blackbirds there as well. Yours seem to be far more well-behaved than ours though.

    1. Yes, Virginia, ours are pretty gentlemanly really and have a beautiful morning chorus song. In fact one is singing it's heart out this evening at sundown as I type.

  6. I think he looks pretty defiant in that last shot, daring you to come any nearer to him and his dinner. Your worms look to be in good nick!

    1. Surprisingly good nick Pauline. I wondered whether he could see me through the glass. If he could you are probably absolutely right!
