Would you believe it if

I told you where this photo was taken?

Or this one.

I wonder.

There is a significant clue.  I'm not asking for the name of the beach by the way although some of you will know at least one of the two.

  2. Why should we not believe you?
Are you implying that you are not generally trust worthy? ;-)

    1. Yes, Cat, I am trustworthy (but then I would say that wouldn't I?).

  3. I know the second one - it's Ocean Beach at Whangarei Heads. The other one, I'm not sure, don't think I've seen it but the headland looks sort of Napier-ish although the low growing scrub looks more Hebridian-ish. And I can't figure out what the significant clue is, unless it is they are both beaches.

    1. Yes, Pauline, my very first afternoon on my first visit to Northland. The significant clue was that in the Ocean Beach photo the figures are in swimwear and in the first photo - of Traigh Mhor on Lewis in the Outer Hebrides in the middle of summer - the figure is wrapped up to the nines.

  4. Used to love Ocean Beach - had a friend who lived there. Finaly accessed the picture at home - but no idea what the significant clue is - glad Pauline doesn't either....

    1. I wonder what the problem with the pic was. I've mentioned above what the significant clue was.

  5. Isle of Lewis? We do have blue skies - although they have deserted us at the moment.

  6. I knew it! How many times have I walked that beach with Briagha? Countless.
Kate always insists that on a day of blue skies, that beach is equally as good as any found in Australia. I can't comment on that but I'll take her word for it. See you soon. x

  7. I recognised the first one and assumed by the shrubs that the second was in another hemisphere. In fairness to Lewis, Partner-who-loves-tea has swum in the sea there a few times!

  8. Goodness me. How brave of Jo. I would never dream of getting in Hebridean waters. Maybe if I was 40 years younger - maybe! Look forward to seeing her dive in off the pier at Bayble Beach this summer. x

  9. Thanks for pointing out the clue but it was lost on me. My favourite time to walk a deserted beach is in winter.

    1. And I forget, Pauline, that people here in NZ sometimes wear winter clothing!
